In Memory Of

I’ve been going back and forth with myself for nearly two weeks on whether or not to post this. I can’t seem to get it off my mind though, and wanted to share it with you. On September 11, 2009, Staff Sgt. Shane Angell was killed in a motorcycle wreck. You may remember Shane and his family from an Operation: Love Reunited post from last year.

The Angell family had such a beautiful love for one another, and I can’t even begin to imagine what Ashley and Skylie are going through. Shane was a wonderful, loving, caring father and husband…we could tell that and so much more just from the limited time we spent with them during that shoot. He had returned safely from two tours of duty in the Middle East. Ever since the day we heard the news, our hearts have just been broken for his family. I was so glad that I had been able to capture images of their time together for Ashley and Skylie to hold onto. There just aren’t really words.

Please be in prayer for continued healing, hope, and peace for his family. If you would like to send a card or donate to the fund that has been set up for Skylie’s college in Shane’s name, please feel free to email me at jenny@jennifercreed.com.

Ashley and Skylie-we love you, and are here if you need anything at all!

Vacation Time!

Sometimes, we all just need a little vacation. Even though I pretty much have the best job on the face of the planet, it was really time to get away from the computer, Bowling Green, and the hum drum of every day life for a little while! It was so wonderful to be able to relax and spend some time with my wonderful husband, who has also been working his tail off this summer with a part time job, shooting with me, and taking three classes. Whew.

We started off with a trip to Atlanta with friends Paul and Sara, to see Braves vs. Phillies:

They won, woo hoo!

Then, after some confusing road trippage and a stop for lunch in Atlanta with the fab Lauren Wright, Chris and I made our way to St. Augustine. Here we have the beautiful Castillo de San Marco. I love history!

So fun! It’s incredible how just a few days away can be so rejuvenating to the soul. A time to reflect, reconnect, and listen to God’s small voice for our lives and our plans. So awe-inspiring to sit on a beach and look at the waves and think about the Creator that made every grain of sand and can control the waves is also the God who brought us together. Peaceful, beautiful :) And now we’re back and refreshed, and I am so excited to get back to work on all things art and business related!

Oops!

Hey everyone!

Favorites of 2008 will resume tomorrow :) Our internet was out last night, and today I was fighting the ice and snow and decided to return to Bowling Green from Lexington. But I will make sure there is a post tomorrow! I hope everyone is safe and sound and warm!

C-A-T-S! Cats! Cats! Cats! +Lauren+Matt

Lauren and Matt are married! Yay! Yesterday was Lauren and Matt’s beautiful wedding at Anchor Baptist in Lexington. The whole day was gorgeous! It’s funny how things happen, because I was in high school band with Lauren back in the day, and Matt’s older sister was my big sis in a music fraternity haha. These two are just absolutely so much fun, the whole day was just a day of joy and celebration with them, their friends, and family. It looked like it was threatening to rain most of the day, but it held off. Matt works with UK athletics and was even able to get us into Commonwealth Stadium for a few pictures! I hope you enjoy! Congratulations Lauren and Matt, have a fantastic time in Mexico!
