Stephanie+David are Married!

Today I got to shoot Stephanie and David’s wedding with the fantastic Ian Lozada of Ian Lozada Photography! It was such a beautiful day! The ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Lexington was absolutely gorgeous, and the reception at the Hilary J. Boone Center couldn’t have been more fun! Stephanie and David were so sweet and fun, and I was so happy to be there to help Ian.

Just wanted to share a couple of my favorites from the day!

Stephanie’s dress was beauuutiful! (and so was she!)

Umm ok favorite shoe shot EVER!!! How cute are those shoes?!

These guys were cracking me up all day!

Kacey is a Senior!

Ok I can not believe that Ms. Kacey is a senior! Ah! Although she is a senior at LCA, she’s always going to be one of the “eighth graders” to me haha. Kacey was in band in 8th grade my senior year, and one of my favorite band kids ever! She is such a sweetheart and super talented and smart. Kacey plays softball, is a phenomenal clarinet player, and also starts work with a vet tomorrow! (Good luck girl!) We had a lot of fun shooting her senior pictures at Talon Winery and Vineyards this evening, despite the steamy weather and killer cicadas. (You think I’m kidding…I’m not. Haha).

Here are some of my favorites!

(Look closely and you can see some of the cicadas in this one!)

Are you kidding!! Ahh!! FAVORITE!

So gorgeous

Ok seriously though the cicadas did NOT like me playing with their grapevine for this shot haha

Artsy fartsy, I love it!

Love her ring!

Congratulations on being a senior Kacey, I can’t wait to see where God leads you in the next few years!

Congratulations, Ashley and Michael!

Saturday, 06/07/08, I had the absolute honor of being Ashley and Michael’s wedding photographer! This couple is incredibly special to me. Ashley and I went to church together when I was like, in fifth grade. But more importantly, thanks to her Matron of Honor, Lorraine, I had the chance to take Ashley and Michael’s engagement pictures last summer. They were my first official clients ever, and their wedding was the first I ever booked! I am so thankful for them taking a chance on me and trusting me with their special day, and thanks to that, since last summer I have truly fallen in love with wedding photography!

But enough of that! The entire day was sooo beautiful! I am a sucker for detail shots and they made it easy on me! Everything flowed together so well and despite the very hot and humid weather, everyone was in good spirits and super sweet to be around! Michael took such good care of his bride all day…it was pretty much the sweetest thing ever :) It was hard to narrow down to my favorites, but here are some, plus a slideshow!

Congratulations Michael and Ashley, have a fantastic time in Mexico!!!

Ashley’s mom made her dress….it was so so gorgeous!

(I’ve been wanting to try this shot forever haha)

The wedding party was so fun!

The handsome groom…

And the stunning bride

First kiss

“Can I just have one more moondance with you…my love…”

Sparklers sending off the newlyweds!

And last but not least, the slideshow! It may take a bit to load this time, but it’s worth it! (Make sure you have your sound turned up!

This could be the start of something new…

…It feels so right to be….here….uh….oh. Hi everyone. Ahem. No, I was not just singing a song from High School Musical. (umm…and I apologize for anyone else now not singing something from High School Musical).

Ok enough of me trying to be funny. Haha. Sorry, it’s an exciting week here on the blog and I am very excited to show you some new stuff we have going on! First…check out this collage of images below of the brand-spankin’ new, absolutely gorgeous albums I am now offering!

These things are just loaded with beautiful features! I’m pretty much addicted! These are flush mount albums, which basically means the image goes all the way to the edge of the page. Although the album is shaped like a coffee table book, the pages lay flat for a seamless spread between the two pages (see the bottom middle and top middle images). Beautifully hand crafted covers come in a variety of styles (shown with a stripe in bottom right color), and a variety of colors in fabrics. This one is gorgeous, soft, red leather that is to die for! Also available with a gorgeous canvas image printed directly on the front cover, silk covered covers, and a variety of colors and textures of leather (including colors called: havana, komodo dragon, and scarlet o hara). They also come beautifully wrapped in recycled paper. The pages of the book are super thick and heavy duty, as you can see in the top left corner.

5″x5″ books are great for showing off your senior portraits with FLAIR, boudoir shoots as a present for your hubby (or hubby to be!), or parents copies of your wedding album! Also available as 8″x8″ and 10″x10″–the ultimate in beautiful wedding albums! This is the new generation…trendy, unique, yet beautiful and timeless.

Just trust me…you really have to see these things! Ah! They are so gorgeous, and I’m so excited to be offering them to you! Contact me to see this sample in more detail, or if you have a previous or future session, for ordering information!

I hope everyone is having a great evening! Stay tuned in the next few days for images from Ashley and Michael’s wedding, Kacey’s senior session, a mystery, and the contest winner!!
